My Approach

A safe, collaborative relationship is central to my approach to therapy. I approach each session with interest, warmth, and consistency. I strive to create a space for you to explore, heal, and grow. I listen intently to your spoken and unspoken communication, promote curiosity and reflection, and offer insights. I help you pay better attention to your thoughts and feelings, which you may struggle to allow yourself to fully see or experience. Together, we observe patterns in your relationships, behaviors, thoughts, feelings. I also pay close attention to our own interactions, and help you see how your participation in the therapeutic relationship may serve as a map for your role in other relationships and experiences. My goal is to empower you to become more fully yourself so that you may lead a more satisfying and productive life.

I offer the option to meet more than once weekly, if appropriate. Meeting more frequently may allow for a different depth and pace of working. It may be especially beneficial for deep-rooted difficulties, intense distress, or strong curiosity to know oneself.
